AmyLou Douglas Named Research Leader – Supply Chain Digitization at The Axia Institute®


Research Leader Joins The Axia Institute®

Midland, Michigan – August 27, 2018

Michigan State University’s Axia Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of AmyLou Douglas as Research Leader – Supply Chain Digitization.

Douglas comes to the Axia Institute from Central Michigan University (CMU) Health in Saginaw, where she served as the Information Technology Manager for CMU Medical Education Partners’ residency program as well as CMU Health’s four clinical locations.   Most notably, she led the implementation and support of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) across all of CMU Health’s clinics and departments.

“We are excited to welcome AmyLou to the Axia Institute. Her information systems experience in the complex heath care field makes her a perfect fit for our Institute,” stated Katherine A. Franz, executive director. “AmyLou will be an important addition to our team as we develop our research capabilities in the critical area of supply chain digitization.”

AmyLou earned a bachelor of science degree in computer information systems from Saginaw Valley State University, and a master of business administration degree from Northwood University’s DeVos Graduate School of Management.

She resides in Essexville, Michigan with her husband and five sons.
