The Axia Institute Expands

Midland, MI … October 1, 2018

The Axia Institute is pleased to announce that it has completed its recent office expansion. Construction has just finished in its offices at 715 E. Main Street in the East End building in downtown Midland, and employees moved into their new space on September 14, 2018.

This office expansion supports the Axia Institute’s future growth plans and facilitates the hiring of additional talent in downtown Midland.

“We’re thrilled about our expansion and believe it provides the Axia Institute with an even better, more collaborative facility where our team can work on the delivery of industry-driven value chain solutions,” said Katherine Franz, executive director of the Axia Institute. “The Institute has been bursting at the seams for a while now, and I’m excited about increasing Michigan State University’s presence in Midland,” continued Franz.

Axia’s new office has space for up to 19 employees and features a redesigned classroom that the Axia Institute uses for its Value Chain Certificate course which is delivered twice annually to supply chain management professionals.  As part of this expansion, Axia takes over the previously vacant space next to Maru Restaurant; Warner Norcross + Judd, the Axia Institute’s neighbor in the East End building, will take over a portion of the space previously occupied by the Axia Institute.

Work on this project was completed by Spence Brothers Construction.
