Axia Institute Named Partner to DAI Health and Pharma Contract
January 26, 2024
The Axia Institute has been named a partner to the DAI consortium which will collaborate and bring new solutions to the critical health and pharmaceutical supply chains used across U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) partner countries. DAI earned a coveted place on USAID’s Global Health Comprehensive Technical Assistance for Health Supply Chain and Pharmaceutical Management (Comprehensive TA) contract. Over the next 10 years, the consortium will work with representatives in partner countries to:
- Strengthen local supply chain systems to ensure the reliability of high-quality commodities;
- Increase the availability of quality-assured, essential health commodities through an improved and sustainable supply chain;
- And develop high-quality pharmaceutical services and a framework for a well-functioning regulatory system.
The Axia Institute, established in 2013, is dedicated to developing effective and sustainable solutions to public and private value chains, with priority given to healthcare, food and agriculture and advanced manufacturing industries. Our expertise is providing a neutral environment to foster collaboration between industry leaders to identify efficiencies across the value chain, strengthening supply chain oversight to ensure industry compliance, and facilitating research between MSU faculty and industry to identify transformative solutions.
“Axia is honored to be part of a larger consortium studying the creation of sustainable supply chains, the safe delivery of health commodities to patients when and where they are needed, and evidence-based guidance for services and regulatory systems,” said Axia’s Executive Director John Hatfield. “We look forward to leveraging Axia and MSU’s vast expertise for this important cause.”
The Comprehensive TA contract is part of USAID’s Next Generation Global Health Supply Chain Suite of Programs (NextGen).
